The companies in the supply chain for high tech systems are according to investigation still for the most part situated in the Netherlands. These suppliers contribute to an important extent to the succes of the OEM's (Original Equipment Manufacturers) which they serve. In this way The Netherlands play an important part in the development, realisation and commoditising of the most adavanced, exact and intelligient machines.

Leading 1st, 2nd and 3nd line high tech suppliers have taken the initiative to give a face to this unique high tech ecosystem: Brainport Industries.

Brainport Industries is established "to connect" the suppliers in the high tech chains and to further raise the professionality of the chain collectively and furthermore to enlarge the corporate competitive strength.

The aim is that Brainport Industries forms “the high tech supply chain” where all worldwide operating OEM’s in the field of HMLVHC machines (e.g. in the semicon, medical, analytic, print- en photovoltaic industry) would like to lay down their questions in order to have their concepts converted to concrete machines or modules of machines.
