Personal data we process
Contour Covering Technology BV processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide it to us yourself.
Below you will find an overview of the personal data we process:
- First and last name
- Telephone number
- Email address
- IP address
- Other personal data that you provide actively, for example by creating a profile on this website, in correspondence and by telephone
- Internet browser and device type
Special and/or sensitive personal data we process
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are under 16 years of age, unless they have the consent of a parent or guardian. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is over 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children’s online activities, to prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without that consent, please contact us at info@contour.eu and we will delete this information.
Purpose and legal basis for processing personal data
Contour Covering Technology BV processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- To be able to call you or send you an email if this is necessary to carry out our services
Contour Covering Technology BV uses the following computer programs or systems:
- The website itself does not store the data you enter in a form. We store it at Microsoft.
- The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Before a form is sent, Cloudflare Turnstile checks whether a human is filling in the form. For this, Turnstile uses your IP address and technical data from your browser. Turnstile does not use what you type in the form.
How long we keep personal data
Contour Covering Technology BV does not keep your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We apply the following retention periods for the following (categories of) personal data: 2 years.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Contour Covering Technology BV provides data to third parties only if this is necessary to carry out our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.
Cookies or similar techniques we use
Contour Covering Technology BV uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. Contour Covering Technology BV uses cookies with a purely technical function. These ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, your preferred settings are remembered. These cookies are also used to make the website work well and to be able to optimize it. In addition, we place cookies that track your browsing behavior so that we can offer tailored content and advertisements.
On your first visit to our website, we already informed you about these cookies and asked for your consent to place them.
You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. You can also delete all information that was previously stored, through your browser’s settings.
For an explanation, see: https://veiliginternetten.nl/themes/situatie/cookies-wat-zijn-het-en-wat-doe-ik-ermee/
Other parties also place cookies on this website, after your consent. You can read below which parties these are and what they are for. An overview of all cookies is in our cookie policy.
Website statistics, advertisements and applications
On this website we use services of other parties to measure how the website is used and to bring our services and vacancies to people’s attention. These services work only if you give your consent in the cookie notice. Without consent, no data is sent to these parties. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings at the bottom of every page. The legal basis for this processing is your consent.
Google Analytics (after consent for statistics)
With Google Analytics 4 we measure how visitors use the website. We also record the following events: sending an application (including the vacancy page concerned), sending a quote request, and clicking an email address, telephone number or WhatsApp link of Contour. We also record which buttons and links you click, when you start filling in a form, which field is empty or incorrect when you send it, and which search query you type on the search page. For the email address or telephone number of an employee, we do not record the address or number itself. We do not send the content of forms, such as your name or email address, to Google. Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Ltd.
Microsoft Clarity (after consent for statistics)
With Microsoft Clarity we see how visitors use pages, for example where they click and how far they scroll. Clarity makes recordings of visits for this. What you type in a form is masked in those recordings. Clarity is provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.
Origin of applications
Links in our advertisements contain an origin code (UTM code) with the source, the campaign and the advertisement. If you reach the website through such a link, your browser keeps this code during your visit (in the browser’s sessionStorage; the code disappears as soon as you close the tab). If you apply, we send the code along in the email with your application. If you only give consent for statistics on a later page, Google Analytics receives the code as well, so that your visit is linked to the right advertisement. This way we see which advertisement brought you to us. The code contains no personal data; we keep it as part of your application, with the same retention period.
Meta Pixel (after consent for marketing)
We use the Meta Pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., the company behind Facebook and Instagram. The pixel records which pages you visit, which vacancies you view, whether you read a vacancy for at least 20 seconds and for half of it, whether you send an application or quote request, and whether you click an email address, telephone number or WhatsApp link of Contour. Meta also receives technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, and places a cookie (_fbp, retention period 90 days). We also use the Conversions API, which Meta manages itself: it passes on the same events as the pixel through Meta’s servers as well, so that Meta can count them more reliably. This happens only after your consent for marketing and without the content of forms.
Advertising audiences on Facebook and Instagram (after consent for marketing)
With this data we build audiences at Meta for our recruitment advertisements: visitors to the pages about working at Contour and our vacancies (retention period 180 days) and people who have watched our videos on Facebook or Instagram (retention period 365 days). We see only how large an audience is, not who is in it. Meta shows the advertisements.
Google Ads (after consent for marketing)
We also advertise through Google Ads of Google Ireland Ltd. If you give consent for marketing, Google Analytics tells Google Ads that you came to the website through a Google advertisement and whether you then sent an application or quote request. Google places cookies for this (_gcl_au and _gcl_aw, retention period 90 days) and may also use this data for the advertisements you see at Google. This works through Google Analytics: without consent for statistics, nothing goes to Google Ads. We do not send the content of forms to Google.
Videos from YouTube
A video on this website loads from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) only when you click it. From that moment, Google, the company behind YouTube, processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy.
Responsibility and transfer outside the European Union
Contour and Meta are joint controllers of the data they collect with the pixel. For the processing that Meta then carries out itself, Meta is responsible. You can read more about this in Meta’s privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy. For what Google does with the data for its advertisements, Google is responsible: https://policies.google.com/privacy. The parties in this statement may process data in the United States. The companies behind them have joined the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Accessing, correcting or deleting data
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any consent you gave for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Contour Covering Technology BV, and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or to another organization named by you.
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion or transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data, to info@contour.eu.
To make sure the request for access was made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your identity document with the request. Black out your passport photo, the MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), your passport number and your citizen service number (BSN) on this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We respond to your request as soon as possible, and within four weeks.
Contour Covering Technology BV also wishes to point out that you have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority). You can do so through the following link: https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/nl/contact-met-de-autoriteit-persoonsgegevens/tip-ons
