Internships and thesis projects
Contour is fully committed to offering students suitable internships with clearly defined internship and thesis assignments. It is important that the student’s personal goals, the requirements of the program and the fit with practice match well.
Students of WO (research university), HBO (university of applied sciences) and MBO (Dutch senior secondary vocational education, levels 1 to 4) programs have successfully completed internships and bachelor’s and master’s theses at our site in Winterswijk. They studied business administration, industrial engineering and management, mechanical engineering, economics and HRM, at the University of Twente, Saxion University of Applied Sciences, HAN University of Applied Sciences, the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences in Bocholt and Graafschap College, among others.
Finding a challenging internship is not always easy. The internship has to fit you, your program and the company where you do your internship. At Contour, we guide you through this process.
Internship allowance
If you do an internship at Contour Winterswijk, you receive a suitable allowance. The amount of the internship allowance is based on a comparison with other technical companies in the region and any guidelines from your program.
Technical HBO students
Are you a mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and management or mechatronics student? Contour always has interesting assignments and is always interested in technical students. Could you not find a suitable assignment on the site? Whether it is a job shadowing internship or thesis research, we would like to get in touch with you.

Recognized training company
We are a training company recognized by SBB (the Dutch organization for cooperation between vocational education and industry). We think it is important to contribute to the development of our colleagues and the technical sector in the Netherlands. MBO students can therefore combine training and practical experience at Contour in a BBL apprenticeship (BBL, a work-study apprenticeship with an employment contract).
Partnerships with schools
At Contour, we maintain close ties with various schools, universities of applied sciences and universities. Through our internship office, we are regularly in contact with teachers. We also like to show students around our clean and modern factory, so they can get to know a modern manufacturing company.
