Working without a diploma
Not everyone has a diploma, and at Contour you do not need one to get started. You can start work at our metal company without a diploma. What counts for us is that you are enthusiastic and eager to learn. If you show that you are, and you want to work with metal or logistics, we train you in-house.
You get a “buddy” in the department whom you can ask questions. The work you finish at the start is checked by a direct colleague. That way you learn the trade and find out whether you did all the tasks correctly.
If you like the work, you can choose to take all kinds of courses. Examples are a course in reading technical drawings, getting a forklift certification, or working in a cleanroom. We can help you choose a course that suits you. Besides taking individual courses, you can also start a BBL apprenticeship (BBL, a work-study apprenticeship with an employment contract) at Contour.
Developing yourself
At Contour, you start in a department where you learn the work from your direct colleagues. We begin with one or a few metalworking operations. To keep the work varied, you take on more and different tasks over time. That way you learn something new every time and can keep developing yourself on the job, at a pace that suits you. You can also take various courses or start a BBL apprenticeship.
