Assembly and subassemblies
Contour is a supplier for mechanical assembly: in our assembly department we put together very diverse products from in-house produced sheet metal parts, tube frames and welded assemblies.
Assembling and cleaning products made from sheet metal parts and welded assemblies in our own cleanroom is also possible.
Some examples of products we assemble include machine enclosures, machine frames, air ducts, 19″ racks for data centers, transport systems, and brackets for equipment manufacturing.
During assembly, all semi-finished products and purchased parts come together at exactly the right time. We work with a fully digital planning to make this possible. The progress of all production orders is tracked in real time using tablets and barcode scanners. Dashboards immediately show the availability, location, and origin of each part.
Via our shop floor control system, an assembly employee can request the desired components. Pick lists are automatically displayed on the forklift tablets.

5S on the shop floor
With flexible workstations, we keep the assembly area clean and organized. The assembly space is divided into zones. When an order is started, the zone is configured with carts designed for that specific purpose. Only the tools and materials actually needed are present.
After the order is completed, the zone is cleared for the next order. The carts with parts and tools for the next order are already prepared.
Efficiency in assembly is achieved by complete information and timely availability of tools and materials.
Cleanroom
In our cleanroom, we can clean products and assemble complex subassemblies.
Mechatronics
Contour is organized for assembling mechatronic subassemblies. Final assemblies with electronic components are put to use directly at the end customer’s site or in the final assembly by the OEM.
