A cobot is easy to program with a tablet, so you do not need an external party for it. You can also easily use the same cobot for completely different processes. That makes it an attractive and versatile investment for manufacturers, and ideal for our sheet metal production!
At Contour there are plenty of opportunities to automate repetitive tasks. This video shows how our colleagues coupled a cobot to a press brake. At Contour, more and more colleagues are learning to operate and program a cobot.
This project started as an internship assignment. Worth mentioning: the intern has since graduated and started at Contour as a production engineer. The benefit of involving colleagues and up-and-coming talent in innovation therefore shows in efficiency and time savings.
