To supply our customers in the manufacturing industry with the latest products and techniques, knowledge and skills are needed, and it is up to Contour to keep developing constantly. As an intern or thesis student, you can play a part in that!
Internship project
Contour Covering Technology is taking a step forward in automation. For two years now, we have been using cobots for various steps in our process. For example, we deployed a cobot in our welding department for grinding, and we are currently deploying a cobot for various bends in the bending department.
Beyond the examples above, there are many more places where a cobot could be used. During your internship or thesis period at Contour, you carry out a preliminary study of a number of options. We will of course discuss the options with you.
After the preliminary study, you start designing and developing a business case and a plan for the implementation.
You will ultimately carry out this implementation.
Internship allowance
If you do an internship at Contour, you receive an appropriate allowance for it. You also receive good supervision from an experienced subject-matter supervisor and a general supervisor during your educational internship.
Recognized training company
Contour is a training company recognized by SBB (the Dutch organization for cooperation between vocational education and industry). We provide a good and safe workplace. As a student, you are assigned a personal workplace trainer who supervises you during the BBL apprenticeship (a work-study apprenticeship with an employment contract).
Who are we looking for?
You are a motivated student of mechanical engineering or mechatronics. While carrying out this assignment, you can work independently and, when needed, you are a team player. You show initiative, and when things get stuck, you are the persistent type who goes the extra mile and makes the project a success.

Contour supplies specialist sheet metal parts, mainly for the high-tech industry. Think of parts for chip machines, medical equipment and logistics systems.
