You are responsible for setting up and operating the CNC press brake entirely on your own
The role
For this vacancy we are looking for someone who enjoys bending metal products on modern CNC machines. As a CNC press brake operator you work in a two-shift system on one of our six press brakes (Trumpf or Safan). A press brake is a machine that bends sheet metal cut to size into the desired shape. Our modern CNC press brakes are operated with a touchscreen.
The challenge? You always make different products for customers in the high-tech industry. Our customers set high demands on the products, and dimensions must be accurate to a tenth of a millimeter. The products you make end up in all kinds of devices, from medical devices to check-in desks for airports.
When you start as a CNC press brake operator at Contour, you place the tooling in the press brake, adjust the CNC bending program and bend the flat sheet into a bent product.
In this full-time role you get the chance to develop yourself further from CNC press brake operator to, for example, operator of the robotic press brake or our punch laser machine. Or perhaps you want to broaden your knowledge and skills as an all-round sheet metal worker, a role in which you learn to operate a wide range of sheet metal machines.

Are you an enthusiastic and eager (inexperienced) employee who wants to master the trade, or are you an experienced employee? Then you can start with us. For this job, accuracy is the key word. As a press brake operator you work carefully and precisely, and it is essential that you can guarantee the high quality standard of our products.
Do you have no experience and/or no completed education in metal or production technology? No problem! We find it much more important that you have a genuine affinity for technology. What we additionally ask for is MBO thinking level and a good work ethic. If you have that, we can train you in-house.

Affinity with metal and technology.
Junior experience in production is a plus, but not required.
Machine knowledge of CNC press brakes is a plus, but not required.
