In this versatile role, you combine the traditional craftsmanship of sheet metal fabrication with operating the most modern CNC machines, such as a 5-axis milling machine and a tube laser.
The role
As a CNC sheet metal worker at Contour, you step into a world of variety and technology. You combine traditional craftsmanship with operating the most modern CNC machines. No day is the same, because you work on a wide range of operations, on products that each need their own unique processing. Your range of tasks is therefore nicely varied.
CNC tube laser
Wide machine park: You will work (or learn to work) with 3- and 5-axis CNC milling machines (Haas), the CNC tube laser (Trumpf), and also with machines for PEM insertion, pressing, rolling, countersinking, drilling and tapping.
From drawing to product: You prepare your work based on drawings and work orders.
Quality guardian: You carry out various inspection tasks and measurements, get orders ready for (internal) shipping and handle the order administration.
Guaranteed variety: Because you deal with different products and therefore different machines and operations, no day is the same.
Team strength: Together with your 12 direct colleagues in the department (led by team leader Kevin), you deliver top quality and accurate results.
Whether you are at the start of your technical career or already have plenty of flying hours, it is above all your attitude that counts.
Who are we looking for?
Do you already have (a lot of) experience as a sheet metal worker? Great! If you have no experience yet and/or no completed education in metal or production technology, no problem! We find it much more important that you have a genuine affinity with technology and production. What we additionally ask for is MBO thinking level and a good personal attitude. If you have those, we can train you (in-house). You will start with a few operations, but the aim is of course to become as versatile as possible in the department.
Crucial: MBO working and thinking level.
Affinity with metal and technology.
A sharp eye for detail. Delivering quality is a matter of course for you.
Junior experience in production is a plus, but not required. If you are eager to learn and have the ambition to learn to operate various machines, we will invest in you!
Colleague speaking
“Contour is the perfect training company for me. First of all, I was welcomed very openly at Contour. At the start I got direct support. I did not have to go to my mentor; he came to me on his own initiative. Later, of course, more independence was expected, but everyone always wanted to help me.”
Together with 12 direct colleagues and team leader Kevin, you form a close team. With us you work with the most modern equipment; we continuously invest in our machine park. Think of recent additions such as a Trumpf tube laser (2025), a large-format 5-axis Haas milling machine (2024) and a Haeger PEM insertion machine (2023).
What makes this extra special is that the implementation of these brand-new machines was largely handled by your new colleagues. So you join a team of true professionals who are not only skilled with the newest techniques, but also actively contribute to innovation within the department.
We offer
Contour is an organization with a pleasant and informal working atmosphere. We produce many different products, so every day offers new challenges and chances to learn. You get the opportunity to develop yourself further in various areas and we offer an attractive salary and profit sharing, as well as 27 vacation days and 13 ATV days (working time reduction days) per year. You will join a team that supports you and encourages you to grow and learn.
